About
About the Small Organizations Records Framework.
SORF is an independently stewarded public documentation framework that helps small organizations create practical records for responsibilities, vendors, access references, continuity notes, incident timelines, and review routines.
Why this exists
Small organizations often run on memory.
Many small organizations depend on informal knowledge. One person may know where the domain is registered, another may know which vendor handles billing, and another may know where important records are stored.
That can work for a while, but it becomes fragile when people, services, vendors, systems, or circumstances change.
What SORF publishes
Framework guidance, templates, examples, and learning resources.
SORF focuses on practical record areas that many small organizations need, regardless of industry, country, or legal structure.

Educational framework, not professional advice.
SORF is provided for educational and organizational planning purposes. It is not legal, tax, financial, accounting, insurance, cybersecurity, regulatory, compliance, employment, governance, or incident-response advice.
Organizations should seek qualified professional guidance when their situation requires it. SORF provides documentation structure, not a substitute for professional review.
